LAS VEGAS, NV — Imbrifex Books is pleased to announce that GETTING OFF ON FRANK SINATRA, FULL SERVICE BLONDE, and STRINGS: A LOVE STORY, all by Megan Edwards, are gold award winners in the prestigious IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award’s program, now in its thirtieth year. BASE CAMP LAS VEGAS by Deborah Wall was named a silver award winner.
GETTING OFF ON FRANK SINATRA received the Bill Fisher Award for the best first fiction title by a new publisher. FULL SERVICE BLONDE won gold for best mystery, and STRINGS: A LOVE STORY won gold for best romance. BASE CAMP LAS VEGAS won silver recognition for interior design.
The gold winners were announced on Friday, April 6, 2018 during a gala dinner ceremony at the IBPA Publishing University, a two-day conference that fosters collaboration within the independent publishing community. Both the dinner ceremony and the conference took place at the Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol in Austin, Texas.
“This year’s list of IBPA Benjmain Franklin Award™ winners rest at the pinnacle of professional independent publishing. These are the best of the best,” said IBPA CEO Angela Bole. “This is important because in the end it’s not just about publishing; it’s about publishing well. Becoming an IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award™ winner showcases a publisher’s commitment to professional standards and high-quality book content and production.”
