FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LAS VEGAS, NV — Imbrifex Books is pleased to announce that two of its titles have received recognition in the 22nd Annual Independent Publisher (IPPY) Awards. BASE CAMP LAS VEGAS by Deborah Wall won a silver medal in the Travel/Guidebook category, and A JUSTIFIED BITCH by H.G. McKinnis won silver for best regional fiction/West-Mountain.
Launched in 1996 and conducted each year to honor the year’s best independently published books, the “IPPY” Awards recognize merit in a broad range of subjects and reward authors and publishers who “take chances and break new ground.” IPPY medal-winning books will be celebrated on May 29th during the annual BookExpo publishing convention in New York, with gold, silver and bronze IPPY medallions awarded in 83 national, 24 regional, and 11 e-book categories. A full list of winners is online here.
“We’re honored that two of our titles were recognized this year,” said Mark C. Sedenquist, Publisher, Imbrifex Books. “We are a new press, and these are among our first releases. We’re especially happy that both books shine a light on Las Vegas, one by spinning a brilliant tale set in our oft-misunderstood city, and the other by guiding hikers to the natural wonders and spectacular landscapes of the desert Southwest.”
